Halloween 2009

One of the biggest North American "holidays" have come and gone. I wasn't going to head out and celebrate this year's Halloween, but a bbm (blackberry messenger) conversation occurred during the first week of October that got me excited so a decision was made! This year, I purchased my costume online and IT NEVER ARRIVED!!! They tell me it will be here on Tuesday...3 days AFTER halloween!! Ummm, does that make any sense to anyone out there?!?! What good is a late costume? UGH! I was completely peeved, but didn't want the dilemma to lower my spirits so I decided to self-make my costume. I ended up being a kitty/catwoman/mouse creation (depending on what you perceive my costume as, lol)! Here's a pic of my ensemble. What do you think?

In the world of promotions

As most of you know, I stay active in the world of promotions for many reasons. I LOVE interacting with people, I love making new friends (the teams that I'm usually involved with, I mostly end up staying friends with) and I absolutely love the potential to meet individuals that may further my broadcasting career. Promotion activations allow you the opportunity to meet certain individuals regular day life would never allow you to meet.

With some of these activations, I speak to more than 5,000 people a day (granted those are the days I'm working more than 12 to 15 hour shifts...yikes!!!) and I am given the opportunity to be in environments that I wouldn't be able to be a part of (without a hefty entry ticket, lol).

With all this said, I recently wrapped an activation with The Toronto Maple Leafs, am currently working as a flight attendant with Porter Airlines and I am the new rep for Philips Sonicare electrical toothbrush for kids!

This is definitely a way to keep things fresh and exciting! Keep your eyes out for more role playing jobs from yours truly coming soon!!

The unveiling of Porsche's "Panamera"

It's been a well nested 25 year old idea and now FINALLY, the brand new, much anticipated and highly sought after 4-door Sedan known as the "Panamera" by Porsche is now in Canada! Tonight, I was priviledged to have been the only video media invite to this ultra VIP event at the Porsche Headquarters in downtown Toronto and I must say, I was presently surprised.

Not only did I get to cover the story and report on such a beautiful sedan, I also got to hang out with some of Toronto's movers and shakers, met new friends and hung out with some old friends too!

Brrrr, it's cold out there!!

Summer? What summer??? It's like we here in Toronto didn't get more than a month of gorgeous warm weather (thank goodness for my Dominican getaway with the bff). The cold has been creeping its way back into our atmosphere and I'm really starting to feel the chills. Not sure if it's because I live in a brick house or if it's just chilly in general, but I'm constantly cold and my hands are always freezing (well, I'm not going to lie, that's just because I have a warm heart. You know how the saying goes ;)

Although born in August makes me a true summer baby and lover of the sun and warm weather, I am looking forward to one thing that fall brings: gorgeous fall fashion! It's a great time to experiment with deeper colours and it's so fun to accessorize your outfits with cute hats, scarves and the likes! I can't wait to show you all my new outfits!

One of those weeks...

Have you ever had a week where almost everyone disappointed you whether it be a friend, a co-worker or just people in general? Where a friend promised to do one thing, but did another? Where someone let you down not 2 but 3 times after promising never to do so again?? Well sadly, I'm having one of those weeks. Naturally, it upset me and being the Leo I am, I expressed myself to the best listeners I know: my mom and my bff's (and the shopping mall! Come on, what CAN'T shopping fix? Lol!)

Throughout this all, I realized that it's all been a learning experience and without these disappointments, I was not showing signs of growth. I've learned that some personalities just don't click and in a situation where someone is trying to get the better of you, you gotta turn around and be the bigger person, laugh it off and not let anyone bring you down.

It's situations and upsets like this that allow me to take a step back and really count my blessings - all my lovely friends and family! My true angels! I am forever grateful for them all! It's so hard to find good friends these days so take a moment and show your true friends how much you love and appreciate them :)

I'm a MTV After Show Friend!

MTV is the network known for its hit shows like "The Hills" and "The City". They have (for a few seasons now) dedicated 30 minutes of LIVE TV to talk about the latest in hollywood headlines on a show called "The After Show". I am honoured that they asked me to come on board as one of their After Show Friends. This means once a week, you can all tune and watch as I give my 411 on the topics of discussion.

Fun times at Virgin Mobile Festival 2009

How much do you love a good roadtrip? I actually quite like them and I was due for yet another. So my girlfriend and I both jumped into her van and headed straight to Montreal! Why? Well, of course for the Virgin Mobile Festival!! It was great catching up with old friends again and seeing some great bands rock the stage for a crowd that seems to have at least 4 to 5 thousand people!

It was both a privilege and an honour when I was asked by my highschool softball coach to come back to the old stomping ground 9 years later for Career Day. "Live Your Dreams" is a new program exclusive to my old highschool Winston Churchill that was put in place to inspire our youth of tomorrow. I was honoured to speak to two classes and share with them my ongoing journey towards accomplishing my goals and dreams.

LG's 2008 Next Top Models

I'm sorry to have not been in touch for a while, but I do have a good excuse. I was having the time of my life touring across Canada with LG as one of their Next Top Models. LG came together with Canada's Next Top Model to create a product launch that would set their 2008 product line on fire and decided that I as well as 4 other models would be a great part of their vision! What a ride it was!

"Kidz For It" Update

Saturday, March 22nd and Monday, March 24th proved to be a day filled with talent and passion! While playing celebrity judge at the "Kidz For It" (set to air this Fall 2008 on TVtropolis) casting auditions, I was truly entertained and always smiling! "Kidz For It"

This Saturday, March 22nd 2008 AND Monday, March 24th, 2008, I will be the television host of the BRAND NEW live reality television show called "KIDZ FOR IT". Here's is a bit more information:

Event: Kidz For It...Live Television Show - Casting Auditions
Dates & Times: Saturday March 22nd from 10am to 5pm AND Monday March 24th from 10am to 5pm
Location: HILLCREST Mall - Richmond Hill @ 9350 Yonge Street

Now here's a bit of a rundown of what the show is all about:

Talent Search for Tvtropolis new show, Kids for It. Talent is required.

Kidz For It is a reality television show. It promises to take the audience inside the lives of young entertainers, auditioning to become a member of Kidz For It performing group. This show will give you a backstage pass into the magical moments and tutu dramas for these kidz with thirteen episodes of auditions, rehearsals, performances and surprise moments with features guest celebrities. The possibilities for Kidz For It cast are endless. Most importantly these talented kidz will have the opportunity to perform at the annual Dance for It which will be showcased as the final episode on air.
